Ean,

I'm glad to see the recent post -- shows you're still there! I had an Axim 5x that I used for work and to play games until I got an Iphone and didn't need it anymore for work. Just for playing games. I had synced it with my XP PC at my office. I stil have the XP at work but at home I have a desktop and a laptop that started out with Vista but have been upgraded to Windows 7. The old Axim died but I got a new one from Ebay and am trying to download the games onto the new one. Is it possible to connect the Axim 5x to the Windows 7 PC? I tried the method you listed above for connecting to Vista, but there was nothing under the Connections tab on my Axim to delete. The Axim is running Pocket PC 2003. Can you help me? Thanks! Kat

Hi Sheri.

As I don't have the X5 anymore, I can't really help debug errors any more than you could do yourself by carefully typing the error message into Google and hoping for the best.

This is typically how I start if I can't figure something out myself.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Ean-I know this is an old post, but hoping you can help. I have the Dell Axim with A05. I'm tryin gto get it to sync with Windows 7 home premium; windows mobile 6.1.6965. The OS recognizes the X5 and I can perform a backup, but cannot get Windows Mobile to connect to the X5. If I uncradle and recradle, it will attempt the connection, but returns and red ERROR. No message-just the word error. Any suggestions?

More information about the biological effects of non-ionizing radiation from wireless technology is coming out every day. Enough is not being done by cities, counties, states and the Federal Government to protect us from the potentially devastating health and environmental effects. Through the 1996 telecommunications act the telecoms are shielded from liability and oversight. Initially cell phones were released with no pre-market safety testing despite the fact the Government and the Military have known for over 50 years that radio frequency is harmful to all biological systems (inthesenewtimes dot com/2009/05/02/6458/.). Health studies were suppressed and the 4 trillion dollar a year industry was given what amounts to a license to kill.
On it's face, the 1996 telecommunications act is unconstitutional and a cover-up. Within the fine print city governments are not allowed to consider "environmental" effects from cell towers. They should anyway! It is the moral and legal obligation of our government to protect our health and welfare? Or is it? When did this become an obsolete concept? A cell tower is a microwave weapon capable of causing cancer, genetic damage & other biological problems. Bees, bats, humans, plants and trees are all affected by RF & EMF. Communities fight to keep cell towers away from schools yet they allow the school boards to install wi fi in all of our schools thereby irradiating our kids for 6-7 hours each day. Kids go home and the genetic assault continues with DECT portable phones, cell phones, wi fi and Wii's. A tsunami of cancers and early alzheimer's await our kids. Young people under the age of 20 are 420% more at risk of forming brain tumors (Swedish study, Dr. Lennart Hardell) because of their soft skulls, brain size and cell turn over time. Instead of teaching "safer" cell phone use and the dangers of wireless technology our schools mindlessly rush to wireless bending to industry pressure rather than informed decision making. We teach about alcohol, tobacco, drugs and safe sex but not about "safer" cell phone use. We are in a wireless trance, scientists are panicking while young brains, ovaries and sperm burns.

Indeed, I've purchased MP3s in the past which were crippled with DRM only to find them unable to be played on my cheap MP3 player at the time.

What did I do? Well I broke the DRM and created DRM-free versions that would play.

Why did it need to be there in the first place? I bought this stuff! I've never shared it with anyone.

Yeah he's great. It would be a shame if the digital-locks provision of the Canadian Copyright reform ended up outlawing this kind of thing. :|

As it stands it would do just that. They really need to look into things.

Okay, Cyanogenmod seems to have matured - and the 1.6 based builds don't seem to be as frequent anymore.

I'm actually still enjoying my T-Mobile G1, even though I can only use it with EDGE on the Rogers network.

I'm thinking of going with Wave since I'm in Toronto now - which will give me more data, 3G and be about the same price.
