Bleach is an anime that has been one of my favourite shows to date. The episodes I’ve been watching recently threaten to make it the worst, however.

It seems that the manga has not caught up with writing new content until episode 110 and I’m still watching episodes in the early 70s. Let me tell you that around the time everything in Soul Society wraps up the story gets really, really awful!

It’s livable, I suppose but just about everything that defined Bleach as a series other than it’s characters are different. They go on a murder-mystery esque kick for a while until we figure out who a certain trio are an what they’re up to. Then we’re assaulted with a bad vampire story where the vampires are called Bounds (or bounto or something…)

I can’t wait to get back to the Bleach I know and love…

At least the ending theme is fun and not as annoying as “Happy People.”

Ichirin no hana is my favourite intro so far as well.

I hear people say, “I know someone else named Ean,” every once in a while or they claim my name isn’t really that rare.

Well check this list out.

Apparently the name Ean is used about 0.01% of the time even in the years where it’s most popular.

I guess my name is pretty unique after all. Well, the statistics are based on U.S.A. Social Security data, but I think it represents the name’s usage in North America overall fairly well.

It’s just too real when you see your friend laying there, peacefuly resting in a box in some place he typically doesn’t end up in.

I half expected him to get up and tell us this was some big practical joke he was playing and he had us all fooled. You never expect to bury a friend this soon.

I’m okay. I just think I still have a bit of disbelief at the whole thing. A bit of sadness, and a bit of hope.

Today sucks. Tomorrow will be better.
