But the good news is that you can resurrect your old Axim (I feel like a kid in a sweet shop now!). I was lucky in that I had access to a non Vista machine as well. So on the non Vista machine I installed ActiveSync 4.5 from the Microsoft site, and connected my Axim cradle and Axim with that and got it to synch. Then I downloaded the Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 from Microsoft on my Vista Home Premium machine. I then swapped the USB cradle over from the non Vista machine, slotted in my Axim and bingo stingo it came to life and allowed me to set up the connection and synchronise it.
