Two of my friends decided to buy me some more fish for my birthday. This is great as my fish tank was looking pretty sparse with only my tiger barb, which is an aggressive fish who I suspect killed all of his friends.

We went to Animalia, a local pet store which deals mostly with fish and reptiles. There was a large variety to choose from but we left the store with 3 blood-eyed tetras, a medium sized pleco and a silver catfish with huge feelers whose name I can’t remember.

As well, one friend insisted on real plants as she’s sure it helps the health of the fish.

Thanks guys! My fish tank now looks a lot better.

Carol is a woman I have been corresponding with for years. I met her Wednesday after a bit of trouble getting to where she was and making sure I could afford to do anything that day. (Banks can be a headache sometimes. Especially when you deposit money last week and it still doesn’t reach your account by mid the following week.)

We had a lot of fun walking down Younge street and seeing all of the little boutiques there. We walked toward Union Station and then went to the CN tower. Not being from Toronto I didn’t know of a whole lot of things to do, but I had a few in mind. Unfortunately time was against us so we only got this much done.

My camera also died right when we reached the CN tower so I only have photos from the surface. Carol has more. ^_^

Afterward, we met up with Carol’s long-time friend also from Internet correspondance named Taku. It was Taku’s birthday on Wednesday so we had a nice dinner in Chinatown with many of his friends. Carol and I got to meet so many great people and it was a lot of fun.

Carol will be staying over at Taku’s place for about a week and then heading out east to see Monreal, etc. Then she’ll be returning here for a bit before she heads back to Brazil. She bought me some nice gifts of Brazillian chocolates and some socks (she says she didn’t know my T-shirt size).

All in all a great day. Cheers.
